The IAF Medical Amplifier Gun is a variant of the Medical Gun which can be used to amplify damage output as well as to heal a bit. Like the Medical Gun, this weapon is available only to Medics.
Description[]
This experimental version of the IAF regenerative healing gun can convert the healing charge into an electromagnetic field which optimizes the weapon of a single marine to fire rounds with increased impact force. Primary fire performs healing while alternate fire does amplification.
Advantages[]
- Can heal or amplify on the move
- Doesn't require marines to cluster together to receive healing
- Fast healing rate
Disadvantages[]
- Only one target can be healed or amplified at a time
- Lower overall healing capacity than Heal Beacons
- Lower healing capacity than Medical Gun
- Requires the Medic to concentrate on healing or amplification
Notes[]
- The amount of amp charges is based on the medic's Combat Drugs. With a base of 90 charges plus 20 per skillpoint. That's 90 with Faith and 150 with Bastille.
- Healing charges are half the available amount of the regular Medical Gun. That's 45 for Faith and 40 for Bastille.
- The amplifying mode, which can target any marine applies the effect of the Damage Amplifier to the selected target, multiplying their damage output by 2.
