Somehow this monstrosity made its way from the Half Life 2 Universe to the facilities and sewers infested with Swarm that the marines must go through.

- Antlions should be handled similar to Shieldbugs, try to get behind them, roll to the side when they are charging your position.
Trivia[]
- Much like in HL2, this large creature will rear its large head and makes a distinctive sound before it charges into a marine, sending him or her flying through the air much like the shieldbug does.
- It surprisingly isn't very hearty and doesn't do much damage on Hard difficulty and below but it could do a lot to hinder a marine when making contact with its head, often knocking players into a large pile of Drones, other hazardous objects, or just slowing down squad progression in general.
